ViDiOTS follows the adventures of two lovable fools; James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville), and Mark Devine (Sex and the City, CSI Miami) as they travel the globe with their trusty PS4. During the day they explore distant cities and foreign countries, meet with journalists and fans, and record TV and movies.
However, the jet setting is just an excuse to give them time at night for their favorite pursuit; playing video games, often with their celebrity friends.
Filmed guerrilla style, this behind the scenes series is a raw, madcap look at the lives of two world travelers who really just want to get their game on.
James Marsters first found international fame playing punk-goth Brit vampire Spike in the critically acclaimed American TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the equally popular spin-off Angel.
Film roles include live action film Dragon Ball; romantic love story P.S. I Love You with Hilary Swank, Gerard Butler and Kathy Bates; and USA Original true-crime film Cool Money. James has also played Brainiac in TV’s Smallville and guest starred in several series; mostly recently Warehouse 13, Supernatural, and Hawaii Five-O.
James’s voiceover talents can be found portraying Lex Luthor on Superman: Doomsday and he continues to read for the very popular Dresden Files audio books.
James is also a singer songwriter and has enjoyed sell-out concerts in America, Canada, Australia, and Europe with his band Ghost of the Robot. He also has two solo albums, Civilized Man and Like A Waterfall.
Mark Devine might best be known for his role as Yankee Joe on Sex and the City. Mark hails from an established career as an actor in both television and motion pictures. Other roles include stints on Big Love, Six Feet Under, CSI Miami, CSI NY, Judging Amy and the Steven Bochco drama Murder in the First as Mayor Flowers.
Mark’s film work includes co-starring as Dana Carvey’s nemesis in The Master of Disguise alongside Brent Spiner and James Brolin.
Beginning in 2001, Mark began portraying the apprentice to Gordon Jump’s Maytag repairman character. A quirky role for which he is still recognized today.
He comes from a background in theater with roles that include Val Xavier in Orpheus Descending at the Alley Theater and the world premiere in New York City of Tennessee Williams’ The Red Devil Battery Sign. Mark is also an accomplished photographer.
